Expert Working Group on Contentious Situations in the SK-DRG

The CKS DRG, also taking into account the requests of the users of the system, establishes the Expert Working Group on Disputed Situations in the SK-DRG. The Expert Working Group deals with disputed situations, defined as differences of opinion in the interpretation of documents issued by the CKS DRG between a health insurer and a health care provider, where each party has explained in writing its view of the interpretation to the other party, but there is no agreement between the disputing parties. The expert working group makes an expert assessment of the facts submitted to it by the parties.

For more information on the Expert Working Group on Disputed Situations in the SK-DRG, please refer to the Statute of the Expert Working Group on Disputed Situations in the SK-DRG on the CKS DRG website available HERE.

Validation protocols - Communication with the PHCS

Having good quality data is a priority for the DRG system, which is why the CKS is working with the PHCS and IT system providers to get the best quality data through the annual benefits. This quality data will help to improve data processing and analysis for a more targeted setting of the DRG system parameters.

We are currently in the process of validating the 2021 annual benefit in order to correct the most common errors that occur in relation to the annual benefit - both with the administration of the benefit and its validation. The aim of working with the 2021 validation protocols is to analyse the errors in question (whether made by the PHCS, the IT systems provider or the CCS) and to minimise critical errors for the upcoming 2022 benefits.

More information is available on our Information | Portal | CKS DRGs page or on the DRG Validation Protocols Workshop recording.
