Hysterectomy laparoscopic or laparotomy is without price difference, the same for all procedures within gynaecological surgery. This situation does not really motivate a clinic to switch to laparoscopic surgery for financial reasons. The motivation is personal growth and competitive pressure from neighbouring hospitals

Answer

The CKS DRG team has recalculated the relative weights repeatedly since 2022. This is a calculation of the values of relative weights, lower and upper limits of treatment time and other parameters from the Catalogue of case lump sums, which is performed annually on the basis of data from Slovak inpatient health care providers who regularly submit the annual CKS DRG benefit each year. Thus, the pricing of laparoscopic procedures has been recalculated repeatedly since the feedback was submitted and reflects providers' average costs for those procedures.
