We are improving the functioning of Slovak hospitals. We are looking for a colleague, who is eager to analyse medical data, correctly define diagnosis, medical procedures and their connections; and much more concerning medicine and hospitals.



The team of the Centre for DRG Classification system in the Ministry of Health is responsible for the correct set up of managing and financing health care in all Slovak hospitals. To find out more, read our blogs on



DRG system is an objective and transparent mechanism that improves managing and financing of health care.


Primarily, we are setting up DRG system in a way that public resources were redistributed fairly and effectively across hospitals based on recognised health care. In other words, we analyse economic and medical data from all hospitals, define clear and transparent rules and procesess to distribute around 2 billion EUR. Furthermore, we constantly collaborate with Slovak experts. Currently, the team consists of 7 colleagues. In a near future, the department should consist of up to 11 and 20 members respectively in an independent and specialised institute. The CKS is divided into three teams that cooperate closely. 


compiling relevant documents concerning changes in coding of diagnosis and medical procedures the correct classification of patients into groups with clinical and cost similarities analysis of medical data (Excel, SQL) control and validation of medical data review of the DRG Definition handbook and main diagnosis groups qualitative analysis of provided health care communication with hospitals and experts


gradute of biomedicine, medicine and medical based fields experienced analytic (medical sector is an advantage) eager to learn, be independent innovative and independent at problem-solving positive attitude communication skills advanced skills in Excel and Word computer skills - SQL, Qlik Sense general knowledge of health care (healthcare models, payment mechanisms, DRG...) English - Intermediate B2 ( German - B2 advantage but not essential)
